Brewed in Rat Portage, Ontario (well, formerly known as Rat Portage but renamed Kenora) and with a name that harkens The Tragically Hip to mind, how could you go wrong? Well, it depends on what you’re into I guess. This is a “meme level” IPA, the kind the guys with the beards and toques and buffalo plaid shirts love. It’s a “triple C hop citrus bomb”.. yep, for sure. It does finish “dry” though which pushes back nicely against that classic grapefruit forward flavour and makes it seem like it has a lower ABV than it does.

I don’t mind a well-placed IPA like this from time to time and this is a pretty good one but “well-placed” and “time to time” are key.
